New Online Development Items Headed to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain B-day

Konami’s latest Metal Gear Solid V update will introduce new online development items including more advanced versions of the Battle Dress and Sneaking Suit, along with the addition of an enhanced Brennan LRS-46 anti-material rifle.

That’s according to the publisher’s official website, revealing that the aforementioned trio is “just a few of the new items” expected to drop. Much like all research projects aboard Mother Base, players can dip into their stash of MB coins to accelerate the development window of any item.

Look forward to the addition of new development items designed to aid in your missions. Below, we take a look at just a few of the new items. All of these are Online Development items, meaning their development continues even when you are away from your game system or PC. You can also use earned MB Coins to shorten the development time.

As for Metal Gear Online, there’s also mention of a new map entitled Coral Complex, which takes cues from the Support and Base Development structures found in The Phantom Pain‘s single-player campaign.

No word yet on the expected launch for either piece of DLC, though we’ll keep you updated as more information comes to light. Tell us, are you still playing Metal Gear Solid V?
