Stream all the content from every stage for the first time ever.
Blizzard’s annual fan-facing extravaganza, Blizzcon, is right around the corner, taking place in Anaheim, California on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, 2017. This year the company is making some significant changes in the ways fans can virtually experience the event if they can’t make the trek to the two-day celebration.
As with recent years, Blizzard will be offering a virtual ticket to fans, allowing them to stream the convention’s big keynote conference, developer presentations, and Q&A panels.
Tickets can be purchased on the official Blizzcon site for $40, giving fans the opportunity to stream coverage of all the events from every content stage, not just the main stage (as was the case in the past).
In addition, those who purchase a virtual ticket will receive a selection of virtual goods from all of Blizzard’s game, including exclusive new World of Warcraft flying mounts for each faction, pictured below.
If digital goods aren’t enough for you, Blizzard is also selling the physical goody bag separately for the first time for $45. But those who purchase a Blizzcon virtual ticket will receive a $10 discount on the physical goody bag, meaning you can snag all the real-life goods for $35 after the cost of the ticket. Lastly, Blizzard is ramping up for Blizzcon with a series of exclusive content and streams leading up to the event on the Blizzcon site. Starting today, fans will be able to hear from Blizzard developers (funny anecdotes, game updates, cosplay series, etc.) in a series of original programming, including, ‘Inside the Blizzard Vault’ where the company will crack open the secret vault for a look at Blizzard-related artifacts.
All this content will be available with closed-captioning in a number of languages: English, French, German, Russian, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese.
Of course, IGN will be on the show floor for all the announcements, reveals, news, hands-on coverage, cosplay, and more! Be sure to stay tuned to the IGN Blizzcon Event Hub for all the latest info as we head into Blizzard’s big show.
